PAPADON, aka the “Professional Vibe Catcher,” is a professional music producer with more than 14 years of experience as a deejay.
At the center of what started his love of music are Papadon’s mom and family. After being introduced to it at a young age, he quickly learned how music can truly allow for self-expression and shared experiences with others.
“My passion comes from the joy it brings people and how it’s able to connect us to one another from different walks of life.”
Papadon’s interest in how music made people feel and move grew stronger after being inspired by watching his cousins Brent and Chachi DJ around their hometown of Boston, Massachusetts. The way they could lead and sway crowds, by knowing exactly what to play and when led Papadon to ask his older cousin to teach him how to DJ and transition.
“When I first began my journey to learn the art, my cousin would leave me to practice in the basement. At first, I didn’t understand how him leaving me there would help me but years later I realize he was helping me shape my character as a DJ; to sculpt a setlist and use my own creativity to express myself musically.”
Papadon’s passion turned professional when he was noticed for his own ability to control a crowd, and for the exclusive music he played.
Now, over a decade later Papadon has earned the title as the official DJ for hometown friend and Epic Records artist, BIA.
Papadon has DJ’d during Ariana Grande's Dangerous Woman Tour and Pusha T's Darkest Before Dawn Tour, as well as many other tours, festivals, and conferences worldwide.
“One of my favorite memories is DJing at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. It was the largest crowd I'd ever DJ’d for at the time and I was in a place I had only ever heard stories about.”
He is also the official DJ for Got Sole, the largest sneaker convention in New England and one of the largest online sneaker marketplaces. He has also DJ'd at the top nightclubs in the Boston area as well as various venues, colleges, and arenas throughout the U.S., including DJing live on XM Radio's Sway in the Morning.
In 2019, Papadon founded Grade My Song, a virtual feedback platform designed to help aspiring and seasoned artists know if their songs are ready for release, or what needs to be improved to get them there. He’s also the founder of the soon-to-be-launched online DJ and music production school for children, teens, and adults, Boston DJ Academy.
